How to Charge an Apple Pencil (USB-C)

While the USB-C Apple Pencil does attach to the iPad magnetically, it cannot be charged wirelessly. 

You can charge Apple Pencil by plugging it into the USB-C port on your compatible iPad:

1. Slide open the round end of Apple Pencil (USB-C) and connect it to the USB-C charging cable that comes with your iPad.

2. Connect the other end of the USB-C charge cable to the USB-C port on the iPad, and you will feel a vibration that indicates it is charging.

You can also charge the USB-C Apple Pencil using the USB-C charge cable and a power adapter:

1. Slide open the round end of the Apple Pencil (USB-C) and connect it to the USB-C charger cable that comes with your iPad. 

2. Attach other end of the USB-C charger cable to the power adapter and plug into wall outlet.
