Display Settings
Display settings in Windows, such as resolution, orientation, brightness, and color calibration, can be accessed through the Settings app. Additionally, you can also adjust the scaling and text size to ensure comfortable viewing on different screen sizes.
These settings allow you to customize your display to suit your personal preferences and optimize visual clarity.
How to Personalize Your Display Settings
Go to Start > Settings > System > Display.
- To change the size of your text and apps, choose an option from the menu next to Scale.
- To change your screen resolution, use the menu next to Display resolution.
- To increase or lower the brightness of the built-in display, use the slider next to Brightness.
- To use warmer colors to help block blue light, turn on the toggle switch next to Night light.
Customize the night light settings by changing the strength and set a schedule.
How to Change Your Background Wallpaper
Go to Start > Settings > Personalization > Background > Personalize your Background
- Select Windows Spotlight, Picture, Solid Color, or Slideshow.
- Picture will allow you to browse through your downloaded images and upload them as your wallpaper.
- Slideshow will allow you to select a picture album from your files and edit the sequence and timing.
- Windows Spotlight is the initial background images included during installation. Most images are featured suggestions, fun facts, tips, locations, etc.
How to Change the Theme and Colorway
Go to Start > Settings > Personalization > Colors
- To change to Light, Dark, Custom Mode, choose an option from the menu next to Choose your mode.
- To change your Accent Color, click on the Accent color dropdown menu and choose Manual to choose a color from the available options or Automatic for Windows to pick a color from your background.
- These apply to various UI elements, such as the Start Menu, taskbar, title bars, or window borders if you turn on the option.
